A Bill to Pay
In 2018, I brought forward a play I wrote in 1988-89, A Bill to Pay.
A Bill to Pay is a two-act comedy about the price of life's little decisions. The story takes place in the midst of Canada's decision to join NAFTA, the initial free trade agreement with the United States and Mexico circa 1990. The issues in the play are relevant in light of the recent USMCA negotiations and the perpetual love-hate relationships of neighbours.
I am looking for a theatre or a group of actors interested in workshopping the play. This involves actors getting together and reading the play aloud, commenting on the dialogue and making suggestions for improvement. This is a process that many plays go through and is an important step prior to being produced. If you are interested, please contact me. Thanks! --Tim
